Jim Jim Fall

Jim Jim Falls is a waterfall in Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. The falls are located on the East Alligator River and are approximately 2 km from the park entrance. This waterfall consists of three levels: 

The lower level is about 20 meters high with a broad base; the middle level is about 40 meters high and narrows at its base; and the uppermost reach almost 60 meters into the air before falling into a deep plunge pool that extends beneath it.

Twin Falls

  • Location: Twin Falls is located at the southern end of Kakadu National Park, approximately two hours drive from Jabiru.
  • What to do: The falls are a spectacular sight to see, with the water falling over the edge of a cliff into a pool below. A walking track leads up to the top of the falls, where visitors can take in views across Jabiluka and Ranger Uranium Mine.

The fall is part of a natural wetland system, which is home to many species of plants and animals. 

The area around the falls can be explored on a self-guided walk that takes about 45 minutes. There are also several short walks within Kakadu National Park that take in other sites such as Jabiluka and Ranger Uranium Mine.
